Bookings
The Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings whether made online at www.theostrichinnnorfolk.co.uk, by telephone or in person. They equally apply to any bookings made through third parties, in addition to any Terms and Conditions the third party may impose. When you make a booking, your contract (which includes these Terms and Conditions) will be with The ostrich Inn. All rates are subject to availability; all bookings are taken at the discretion of The Ostrich Inn. We have a minimum age requirement of 18 years old to book a hotel room. If you arrive at the hotel and are under 18 years of age you will not be permitted to stay alone. We may require photo ID as proof of age. Please note: we charge an additional £15 per night per z-bed and £20 per stay for each pet, in designated rooms only. We allow a maximum of one cot or z-bed per booked room, this is subject to space and category which is at the discretion of The Ostrich Inn.
Payment
We require card details upon making a room reservation with us. We accept American Express, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa & Visa Delta.
Please note: Payment for the balance, plus any extras, items used in the room or items taken away from the room, is due on departure from the hotel and can also be made by use of The Ostrich Gift Vouchers.
Cancellations
If booking direct via our online booking engine, email or over the phone we offer a 2 day cancellation policy. This means that reservations must be cancelled up to 48 hours before the booking in order to avoid a charge for the value of the full stay.
Please note: if your reservation falls into the category of our Group Bookings & Events Bookings the full payment made to confirm your reservation is non-refundable at any time from the point of confirmation.
Lost keys
A charge of £45 will be taken in the event of a lost key. This covers the change of lock, key fob and the cost of a new key.
Lost Property
We are more than happy to post any lost items subject to the costs of postage. Due to the high volume of lost property we reserve the right to give to charity or dispose of lost property if it is unclaimed 2 weeks from the stay date.
Smoking
All guests are required to abide by The Ostrich Inn Smoking Policy and to all applicable no-smoking governmental laws, rules and regulations. No smoking is allowed inside The Ostrich Inn at any time. We reserve the right to prohibit or limit smoking in any area of the grounds at any time at its sole and absolute discretion.
The Ostrich Inn reserves the right to designate certain outside areas of the property as smoking areas and to change the location of these areas at any time. All guests are requested to respect the wishes of all other guests as regards smoking and to refrain from smoking in a particular area when requested to do so.
Damages
We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card for any damage done to your room during your stay or for any items that are missing when you leave.
Liability of The Ostrich Inn
The Ostrich Inn, its servants and/or agents shall not be liable to any guest for any loss, damage or injury suffered by them or their property, howsoever caused, save in respect of death or personal injury to guest to the extent caused by the negligence of The ostrich Inn, its servants and/or agents.
Invalidity & Waiver
If any of these Terms is found by a court or regulatory body to be invalid or unenforceable, all other provisions shall continue to apply to the maximum extent legally permitted. No waiver of any of these Terms & Conditions shall be effective unless made in writing by The Ostrich Inn and signed by a Director. No waiver (or non-enforcement) shall be construed as a waiver or any subsequent breach.
